More than 2 Million from NordForsk

NordForsk, the research organisation under the Nordic Council of Ministers, has in this round granted a total of DKK 3 million to Faroese projects. Of this, the largest grant goes to the Centre for Language Technology at the Faculty of Faroese at the University of the Faroe Islands.

Barbara Scalvini and Iben Nyholm Debess, who are researchers at the Centre for Language Technology, receive around DKK 2.2 million for a project on the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The project, which is led by the University of Copenhagen, is called Culture-Sensitive Assessment and Adjustment of Large Language Models – Adaptation to the Nordic-Baltic Societies. You can read more about the project here.
