This language model was made by Barbara Scalvini at the University of the Faroe Islands. It’s a translation model specifically designed for English to Faroese translations. Utilizing the m2m_100 framework and built with PyTorch, this model offers high-quality translations, making Faroese more accessible. It was made using the NLLB (No Language Left Behind) initiative, which aims to support and preserve less-resourced languages.
